Join me for a small group still life art class in my studio.
The Course
Let's learn the fundamentals of oil painting and create a still life painting together in my studio in South Townsville.
These classes will be immersive and are best suited to someone who is interested in art but is yet to pick up oils. I will walk you through how I create my work and over the course of the 4 classes you will create your own still life painting. Please see course outline below
What you'll receive:
A custom 40 x 30cm canvas and I will paint alongside you to demonstrate each step.
All professional oil paints, oil mediums, brushes
Tuition in a small group setting by professional artist - classes capped at 8 students.
Industry expertise for those interested in pursuing art as a career option.

In my lovely studio in South Townsville.
When:
Commencing Thursday 5 October 2023 at 6pm - 8.00pm and every Thursday thereafter for 4 weeks with last class on 26 October.

COURSE OUTLINE
Week 1
Overview of all materials and safety procedures, preparatory sketching and composition, begin basic tonal painting exercise
Week 2
Colour properties and mixing, palette and surface preparation, begin new still life painting on canvas
Week 3
Begin new still life object painting focusing on light and shadow and complex colour mixing
Week 4
We'll continue our still life paintings using your own creative flair under my professional guidance to make a resolved artwork
*Please note that all wet paintings may be left in the studio each week
ABOUT HELEN
Helen is a university trained professional Artist and educator. Helen has completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in Painting and a Graduate Diploma of Education (secondary) specialising in Visual Arts. Amongst a variety of awards Helen has been featured in print magazines including Belle, Home Beautiful, Country Style and has had her work featured by Dulux Colour Forecast over multiple years and on television programs such as Love it or List It. Another passion is collaboration and Helen has worked with fashion labels such as Bohemian Traders, Kate Ford and US designer Tanya Taylor. Helen's work has been acquired by clients across the globe with her main market being the United States.
